Top 10 tips for pool
safety
*1 Constantly supervise toddlers around pools.
*2 Teach children how to swim from a early age. (classes from as young as 5 mths)
*3 Fence your pool properly (click here) for your pool fence checklist.
*4 Keep your pool gate shut at all times. (dont prop it open)
*5 Make sure your pool gate latch is working correctly.
*6 Keep your pool fence maintained.
*7 Remove climbable objects from around your fence (pot plants,etc)
*8 Make sure there are no gaps under or through your fence larger than 100 mm.
*9 Learn CPR and have a CPR sign displayed in a visable place. (just incase)
*10 Speak to neighbours about unsafe pool fences in your area.
